A while back, when I introduced the League History & Records section of the site, I mentioned there would probably be more to come. Well, here it is. A new section with historical information about each team in our league.
What kind of information? Glad you asked.
You won't find information about Badazz Bri's favorite color (it's coral), or the names of NH Bounty Hunters' kittens (Mr. Squiggles, Kitty, Daisy, Chloe, and Phillip). You won't see anything about quinoa recipes from Los Perros Locos or a list of favorite romantic getaways from Team RamRod (I think it's probably Paris in the spring).
Head on over to Facebook and Pinterest if you're looking for that.
What you will find is detailed information about the accomplishments, or lack thereof, for each team. Their longest win streak, all-time records in the regular season and playoffs, top scoring players in team history, and, in some cases, a very long list of the previous team names they've used. In case you were wondering, 8 team name changes is the record.
You will also find a list of all the division and league championships they've won - or haven't.
You'll also get a good laugh at each team's best season in league history and their highest score in a single game.
But the content that I'm most excited to share on these new pages is the all-time head-to-head matchup records for each team. Each of these new pages features a table where you'll be able to see that Pork Chop Express has never beaten Blue Ribbon or Flash Dem TD's. Or, that Who Is You only averages 83 points in their 6 games on the road against Chief Sticky Balls but 115 when they play them at home. You'll see that Thundabuddies always plays the same teams at home and away - we'll need fix that.
I should also take a moment to explain that these pages take a bit more work to maintain than the others, but I'll do my best to keep up throughout the season. If you notice your kicker, who just posted a 90-point game, isn't showing up, or that your 23 total points scored against Baby Got Dak isn't reflected in the matchups section, don't worry, I'll get it up there. Just give me some time.
If you see any information that looks incorrect, please call someone who cares. Or, just let me know and I'll look into it. Additionally, if you think there is some team information that should be included on those pages, but isn't, I'll consider adding it - for a fee. However, please note, if I don't already have that historical info recorded somewhere it could be tricky to get with our limited access to the league history details.
Enjoy!
