LINE: Golden Tate Warriors -1
As a whole, the teams in this league have combined to score over 19,000 points this season. And yet, there is one point in particular that stands out above all. It is, of course, the one point that the Golden Tate Warriors outscored Chief Sticky Balls by when they defeated them in the first week of the season, 90-89. Take a moment to think about the impact of that single point from the first week. If it doesn't happen, Chief Sticky Balls is possibly the #1 playoff seed in the Sagebrush division and who knows if Golden Tate would've defeated Jergoff Passout last week. Regardless, here we are with a marquee matchup between two powerhouses. No team in the league has enjoyed home field advantage this year as much as the Warriors. At home this season the Warriors have been dominant, outscoring their opponents by an average of 22.3 pts/gm on their way to a 6-1 record. Oh, and did I mention the Warriors haven't lost a game to a Sagebrush rival this season? They're 8-0 against their divisional counterparts. But before you assume the Warriors will hold the same advantages in this contest, consider that the Balls are 5-0 all-time on the road in the playoffs. They travel well in the postseason. In fact, they play well in the postseason in general. Among all of the teams in the league that have played 10 or more playoff games, the Balls own top honors, with a .667 winning percentage. So where do you go to find the winner of this game? Their starting lineups, of course. And, to me, the key will be the receiver play for each team. We all know there's a good chance that Samuel and Adams will produce as expected for the Warriors. But, for the Balls, the question remains: can Metcalf and Higgins step up their game to make up for the loss of Godwin? While Tee Higgins has had recent success, DK Metcalf has only averaged 3.8 pts/gm since week 8. That's just not going to get the job done in this game. If Metcalf continues to struggle, I just don't see the Balls being able to keep up with the Warriors. However, if he can score more than 15 points, well...

LINE: Thundabuddies -3
The Thundabuddies have been waiting for this game ever since they were eliminated from the playoffs by Who Is You last season, 91-71. But you might not realize that if you're looking at the two games these teams played against each other this year. In week 6, You defeated the Buddies by 12 points, 117-105, only to come back and beat them again in week 14, 127-120, and earn their invite to the postseason. What's really strange is that those two games were the exception, not the rule. Over the course of the last six weeks, the Thundabuddies haven't scored less than 113 points in a game. Who Is You? They've scored more than 113 points only once over the last seven weeks. Moreover, the Thundabuddies average 120.5 pts/gm this season - a level of scoring that Who Is You has only reached four times this year. It's clear that when you measure these teams beyond the two games they've played against each other, the Buddies have been better. In case you're still not swayed, you should remember the Thundabuddies have a 4-1 all-time record at home in postseason play and they're hosting a You team that might be without their best RB, Austin Ekeler. And, if Ekeler doesn't play, I'm not convinced that Who Is You would even be able to reach the 101.7 pts/gm that they've averaged on the road this season. When you add all of this up, it's difficult to take Who Is You with any level of confidence. But, if you did bet on You, then clearly you think Ekeler plays, the Bills scorch the Pats, and Cooper Kupp doesn't score more than 10 points - something that's happened only once this season. And finally, in the history of this league, there has never been a repeat champion. A few have come close, but none have done it. Some hills are just too big to climb.
