No matter what happens here, you'd be hard pressed to argue Digg-A-Watts hasn't had a successful inaugural season in the Sagebrush Cactus League. But if you asked them, I'm sure they'd tell you they still have work to do. With only one team standing in their way of a trip to the Championship Game, they'll need to bring their A-game if they're going to upset a Golden Tate Warriors team that has looked like a playoff team all season. In their first visit to TBD Stadium, Watts' offense ran into a wall as the Warriors defense held them to just 89 points. However, it's worth noting that Watts' defense also played well, holding the Warriors to 93 points. In fact, when these two met for a rematch in week 12, Digg-A-Watts' defense rose to the occasion again, limiting the Warriors' offense to only 87 points. Since I know that you've been paying close attention this season, I don't need to bother telling you that those 2 games are the lowest scoring games for the Warriors this year. And since defense wins championships, I'm sticking with the team that has proven they know how to ground high-flying offenses.

Could home field advantage work against the Pork Chops? On one hand, the last time they took to the road against the Bounty Hunters, the Chops posted one of their worst scores of the season, 57 points. On the other hand, that game was their only loss away from Little China this season. If you dig a bit deeper into that week 10 loss to the Hunters, you'll notice the Chops were without two of their best players, Mahomes and Kelce. And if you want to know how important those two are, just look back to week 2 of the season when the Chops scored 117 points against the Hunters...more than double. With both in the Chops' lineup for this game, the Hunters will have their hands full. Not only will they need to figure out a way to keep them in check, but they'll also need to figure out how they score more than 110 points...something they haven't done against Pork Chop Express this season. If I'm being honest - and when haven't I? - I think the Hunters lack the power running game needed to control the game flow and keep the ball out of Mahomes' hands. A few of the Hunters' players will have nice games, but I fear they'll find themselves short of where they need to get to. The Pork Chop Express should roll into the title game.

The Tator Tots have been one of the hottest teams in the Segundo League lately. They've won 5 straight and 8 of their last 10. Oddly enough, one of those 2 losses was to MaxxCasualties, who they took care of last week, and the other was to - *drum roll* - TJONES35. When these two met in week 9, TJONES was at their peak. They had won 7 in a row with an average weekly score of 122.7 pts/gm. Fast-forward to this game, and we see a TJONES squad that barely earned a 1st round bye after losing their final 3 regular season games with an average score of just 92.0 pts/gm. To say they need the bye is an understatement. With a lineup of well-rested starters, I expect to see TJONES come out of their corner swinging in this game. There may be moments where the Tots look like they'll put up a fight, but when it comes to contests between Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes, I'll take Mahomes every time.
COMMISH'S PICK: TJONES35

The key to postseason success is getting the most out of your players. And the Gotham Rogues got that last week, scoring 149 points in a victory over the Gunkeyes. For the Rogues, that was their 2nd highest score of the year and there's no doubt they'll want to see something like that against Jalenhouse Rock this week. And, if history is any indicator, they'll need it - literally. The Rogues are winless in 2 meetings against Rock this season, including a week 12 loss where they surrendered 148 points. Am I suggesting Jalenhouse Rock is good for 140+ this week? Probably not, but after looking at their roster and player matchups, I think 120+ is possible. After all, they average 120.8 pts/gm this season. If I'm casting predictions for this game - and I am - I see the Rogues jumping out to an early lead. However, once Jalenhouse Rock's RBs find their rhythm, they should be able to slow things down and keep the Rogues on defense, limiting their ability to score. And though the game will remain close near the end, Hurts will find a way to push Rock into their first Championship Game.
