We're getting down to the nitty-gritty, folks. With only 3 weeks left in the regular season, we're officially kicking off the playoff race.
Before we get into that, however, I need to give a nod to the Sagebrush division for sweeping the Cactus division in inter-league play this week. And it wasn't even close.
This week, the Sagebrush teams outscored the Cactus teams by a total almost 200 points - 194, to be exact. The average final score was 114.7 to 82.3 making the average margin of victory 32.4 points. Among the Sagebrush teams, only 1 failed to reach the 100-point mark - Golden Tate Warriors. For comparison, only 2 of the Cactus teams hit that threshold, and barely - Baby Got Dak (101 pts) and Pork Chop Express (102 pts).

Heading into the final week of inter-league play, the Cactus division will need to win 5 of 6 games to even things up. That's going to be a heavy lift.
Of all the victories last weekend, none was bigger than Thunda Buddies.
Yes, I realize they lost their matchup. But they actually won because they became the first team to secure a playoff berth thanks to the Sagebrush division. If you're one of those Sagebrush teams, be on the lookout. I'm sure Thunda Buddies will be sending each of you a gift shortly - a card, at least.
With Thunda Buddies taking one of the Cactus playoff spots, and Pork Chop Express just 1 win away from securing their spot, that leaves us with Los Perros Locos and Who Is You in a race to secure the final invitation. Interestingly, these two will face off against each other in the final week of the season and that final playoff spot could very well be on the line.
Over in the Sagebrush division, things get more muddled. Though they haven't technically clinched their playoff spots yet, it is very likely that Chief Sticky Balls and Christian McMingle are headed to the postseason. They both control their own destiny at this point: win this week and they're in.
In trying to describe the playoff scenario for the rest of the division, I had to dust off the ol' dictionary to find the right word. Merriam-Webster defines "clusterfuck" as "a complex and utterly disordered...situation: a muddled mess". And that, my friends, is how I think it best to describe a situation where we have 4 teams fighting for a single playoff spot over the next 3 weeks. Good luck trying to sort out that mess.
Another 4-2 week in the books leaves me with a .667 winning percentage on the season.
After scoring 176 points this week, my Waiver Wire team suggests there are still plenty of scraps left out there.
Good luck in week 11!
