The three biggest weeks for players so far this season are 51, 50, and 49 points. The amazing thing is that all three of these scores happened this week. Deshaun Watson posted 51 points, the Eagles D/ST put up 50, and Christian McCaffrey scored 49 points - though I should mention the Patriots D/ST also reached 49 back in week 2.
If you think that is crazy, consider the fact that all three of those scores came from the same team this week. Yes, the same team! The. Same. Team.
I think you know where this is going.
What seemed like an unbreakable record at the onset of the season (The Highest Team Score) was broken in week 3 when Blue Ribbon scored 200. Aaaaand...it was broken again this week. Except this week, the record wasn't just broken by 1, or 2, or 10, or even 20 points. No, the record was completely annihilated - by 33 points!
Time to update the league record page on the site again.
Incredible doesn't begin to describe it, though "shenanigans" is a word that comes to mind for some reason.
It's no secret, at least I hope not, that Team RamRod had the biggest week in league history this week. Simply put, they took the new league record - not even 2 weeks old - and beat it down like a defenseless baby seal pup.
But, that's not even the most mind-numbing part of it. No, the fact that they did it against Badazz Bri is the pièce de résistance.
With that game, Badazz Bri will forever be known as the team that gave up the three highest scores in league history. On the season, they have already given up 854 fantasy points to opposing teams. For reference, the second ranked team in the points-against column is Chief Sticky Balls who have surrendered 648 points to opposing teams.
Opposing teams are averaging 170.8 points per week against Bri. AVERAGE!
Each week, Badazz Bri's opponent has been the highest scoring team in the league, except for week 4. That week their opponent was the 2nd highest scoring team in the league.
They're like a fantasy football version of the Miami Dolphins.
With that kind of luck, it's no wonder they're 0-5. But, if you've been following "@TheNewBrianJardine" on GroupMe, you've probably already seen they still have a positive attitude about their season.
Speaking of GroupMe, if you're not on there yet, you should be. It is where we host our league chat and I know there are a few Cactus teams that have yet to join. I'm looking at you Baby Got Dak, Thundabuddies, and NH Bounty Hunters. And I should also mention, based on their silence, it looks like one of our teams forgot they already have a GroupMe account: Pork Chop Express.
It's super easy to setup & use:
Step 1: Click on one of the following links to download the app on iTunes or Google Play.
Step 2: Create your account.
Step 3: Tell me which email or phone number you used for your account and we'll add you to the Sagebrush Cactus group.
Optional: If you prefer to set it up on your desktop, just go to GroupMe.com.
It's a great app for league communication since it works on your smart phone or desktop. You can connect anywhere, anytime, without logging into the league. Additionally, beyond the general league chat, you can also send direct messages to specific members - great for working out trade deals.
But, I digress.
With Team RamRod's ridiculous week, it almost seems silly pointing out some of the other respectable scores. But in case you missed it, Hit Em With The Hein!!! looked better than they have since week 1 with 156 points while Thundabuddies and Blue Ribbon both hit the 140 mark. In any other week, these scores might be newsworthy.
NH Bounty Hunters and Pork Chop Express each pulled out a victory. Not necessarily because they played well, but because their opponents forgot to show up.
One other thing I did find interesting about this week is that the top 8 scoring players all came from 3 teams. I mentioned before that RamRod owns the top 3 players, but Thundabuddies had the 4th, 5th, and 6th highest scoring players while Blue Ribbon had 7th and 8th.
At least I picked the correct game for the Matchup Of The Week. No shortage of fireworks in that game!
You guys are kinda ruining the whole concept of Waiver Wire Team That Beat You this season with your 200-point weekly scores. Knock it off.
Good luck in week 6!

Another great post. Eric, aren't you a sports writer? Don't you run a newspaper. Maybe you should get with The Commish for some contributing articles.
Excellent post, the visuals were a nice touch. I also appreciate the fact you didn't mention that my win improved me to 1-4 on the season.
