Survey Says...

Before we get into the survey results, I want to let you all know that I've created a video conference room for anyone interested in joining during the draft. This is a great opportunity for you to see each other (not sure why you'd want to) and talk a little smack. Or, be mocked. Depends on who you are, I guess.

To be clear: THAT IS NOT THE LINK FOR THE DRAFT.

This meeting room is for those interested in badgering the Golden Tate Warriors' owner while you all collaborate to bid up the price for Golden Tate.

The 2021 Sagebrush Cactus League draft is on Sunday, August 29th at 5:00 PM MST

Now that we've gotten that out of the way, on to more important business: the survey results. One thing you'll probably note is that we only received responses from 10 owners.

One owner chose to abstain, and I quote: "...I trust in our dually (sic) appointed commish to make decisions in the best interest of the league so I support the commissioner in whatever decision he may arrive at." Clearly, this owner gets it.

The other owner is M.I.A. I've emailed him twice with no reply or response. While I have a strict policy against naming names, I will tell you that it rhymes with Jathon Cardenath.

Additional Comments:

"But not really"

"I'd like to see some more options and features."

"From you. Just now."

"No Clue? 1?"

Additional Comments:

"0"

"we would only have to pay for one league right? Wait, I'm confused"

Looking at some of the additional comments, it's clear we're working with a serious brain trust here. But, what I did gather from the survey results is that there's genuine curiosity and interest in creating a development league that would allow for promotion or relegation between the two leagues.

So, what now?

I'm going to begin working on a proposal for the additional league and I'll share it with you all sometime during the season. My plan is to create a draft proposal, allow a period of time for feedback and, if necessary, make adjustments. Once completed, we'll put the final proposal to a league vote.

Stay tuned.
