The Final Chapter

After 15 grueling weeks of watching you clowns hash it out in fantasy football, I decided to take a small break and postpone this post an extra day. What do you want from me? Do you think the omnipotent wisdom I regularly share on these pages comes easily?

I wish I could say that the Cactus and Sagebrush Division Championship Games were exciting to watch, but they weren't. If you followed each contest, as I did, you're probably thinking about asking for your money back.

Ezekiel Elliott (32 pts) had his best week of the season and ran all over Los Perros Locos.

Pork Chop Express had no trouble handling Los Perros Locos, beating them by 46 points. Early in the contest, it appeared things were shaping up to be a close match. However, midway through the afternoon games, things got out of hand quickly with Ezekiel Elliott, Nick Chubb and company taking the lead putting the exclamation point on it. In fact, it was such a convincing win that despite Los Perros having 72 points on their bench, they still wouldn't qualify for the Bonehead of the Week award. There was no way they could've won this game.

Saquon Barkley (31 pts) looks to be back to form just in time for the Championship Game.

In the Sagebrush division, things weren't much better. Chief Sticky Balls jumped out to an early lead in their game against Flash Dem TD's and never looked back. Back to their early-season form, Saquon Barkley and the Patriots D/ST led the charge for Sticky Balls. And like Los Perros, the TD's left a lot of points on their bench, although there are some combinations that could've given them the win. Had they played the Vikings D/ST and flexed either McLaurin or Williams instead of Mack, they would be defending their title this weekend.

So there you have it, ladies and gents, the 2019 Sagebrush Cactus Championship Game will feature Chief Sticky Balls against Pork Chop Express. I, for one, hope to see a high-scoring game with a more exciting finish than either of last week's playoff games.

Fortunately, for these two teams, there are no Thursday games this week giving them until Saturday to read every fantasy blog, study every statistic, and over-analyze every teeny-tiny detail of their matchup. If you doubt they will be doing so, consider that Pork Chops has added more players and adjusted their lineup more than any other team in the league - a staggering 143 moves in total. I wouldn't be surprised if they make another 143 moves before the week is over.

Congratulations to our division champs and best of luck in the final match!

Week 15 was a tough week for me. I finished 3-3 in my picks, but I missed both of the games that counted when I took Los Perros Locos and Flash Dem TD's to make it to the championship game. What was I thinking?!?

My Waiver Wire Team was on bye this week.

Good luck this week and thanks again for playing this season!
