Week 11 Commish's Picks

Having been eliminated from the playoffs, the NH Bounty Hunters will look to spoil the dreams of others, beginning with Badazz Bri this week. If you only looked at the ESPN projections, you'd expect Badazz Bri to get blown out. However, the last time the Hunters traveled to the Drink 'Em If You Got Em dome, they're the ones that were sent off to slaughter, losing that game 123 to 45. Plus, the Bounty Hunters are only 1-4 on the road this season and Badazz Bri have won 4 of their last 5. Overall, I think the Bounty Hunters have the stronger roster this week, and in general. If you want to play the line, take Bri and the points. If you're playing it straight up, take the Bounty Hunters.

LINE: NH Bounty Hunters -30

COMMISH'S PICK: NH Bounty Hunters

This contest gives us two teams fighting for their playoff lives. The winners lives to see another day while the loser will most likely be eliminated. Historically, these two are pretty evenly matched and this will be the first time Who Is You will travel to the Booby Bowl where teams have seen some success. So far this season, visiting teams are 3-1 while averaging 108.8 points. And while that might not seem like a big deal, it is when you consider the fact that the TD's are only averaging 79.5 pts/gm at home. So much for home field advantage, I guess. Even more telling is the fact that Who Is You has outscored the TD's in 8 of the 10 weeks this season - which isn't much of an accomplishment when you consider that Flash Dem TD's is the lowest scoring team in the league. I'm running with You and I'm giving the points.

COMMISH'S PICK: Who Is You

After starting the season with a 4-game win streak, Golden Tate Warriors have dropped 5 of their last 6 games and now find themselves in a battle royale with 3 other teams for a playoff spot. Their opponent, Dak, has already been eliminated and would probably enjoy nothing more than to crush the dreams of another - especially a Sagebrush team. The good news for the Warriors is that they have history on their side. In 15 games against Dak, they own a 10-5 record. However, when hosting Dak, they're only 2-3. But, those 5 games have all been close, with an average score of 110.8 to 110.0. The biggest problem for Golden Tate Warriors is their recent history. They haven't topped Dak's point total once in the last 6 weeks and their highest score over that span was last week when they put up 97 points. I think the line on this matchup is fair, but I'm gonna roll the dice with the underdog.

LINE: Baby Got Dak -9

COMMISH'S PICK: Golden Tate Warriors

This contest marks the first time Blue Ribbon will host Los Perros Locos and I'm sure the dogs are hoping for better luck than in the past. Blue Ribbon has taken 4 of 5 against Los Perros, all-time and recent history suggests things may not change. Through 10 weeks this season, Ribbon has outscored the Perros 8 times, and while they've each only won 2 of their last 5 games, Ribbon is averaging 131.6 to the Perros' 92.8 pts/gm. Although Los Perros Locos are only 1-3 on the road this season, they might stand a chance if they can come together. Blue Ribbon's lineup is riddled with questionable injuries and they still haven't set a complete lineup. If Ribbon sets their lineup and avoids a forfeit, give them the win in a close game.

LINE: Blue Ribbon -12

COMMISH'S PICK: Blue Ribbon

If it's scoring you're looking for, this is your game. Each of these two teams have dipped below 100 points only once this season and I don't expect they'll disappoint this week either. In the 5 games the Balls have hosted down in The Nethers this season, they've allowed an average of 126.4 points to visiting teams. Similarly, Pork Chop Express is averaging 120.7 pts/gm when playing on the road this season. Moreover, in the last two contest between these teams, Pork Chop Express has averaged 140 points against Chief Sticky Balls average of 145 points. They're both at the top of the scoring list this season and every metric suggests this will be a high scoring affair. But if there's one thing you need to know before you place your bet, it's this: Pork Chop Express averages 131.5 pts/gm at The Nethers...and they're 4-0. It's almost like a second home for them.

LINE: Chief Sticky Balls -1

COMMISH'S PICK: Pork Chop Express

It's a real treat to have 2 incredible matchups this week and, like the Chops versus Balls game, this too could be a preview of the SCL Championship. This game looks like a classic case of the unstoppable force versus the immovable object. This season, Thunda Buddies have a 4-1 record as the visiting team while Christian McMingle has a 3-1 record at the House of Harmony. Scoring-wise, it's the same: Thunda Buddies are averaging 141.5 pts/gm on the road and McMingle only allows 77.8 pts/gm at home. Historically speaking, McMingle holds the upper-hand having defeated the Buddies in 5 of 7 games, all-time. In fact, it's been nearly 5 years since they last lost to Thunda Buddies. While some might read that as an endorsement for picking McMingle, I see it differently. The Thunda Buddies are one of the top teams in the league and I can't see them losing a 5th straight to McMingle. Take the Buddies in a nail-biter.

LINE: Thunda Buddies -1

COMMISH'S PICK: Thunda Buddies
