SAGEBRUSH CACTUS LEAGUE
LINE: Thundabuddies -18
Truth be told, this kind of matchup would normally be the MOTW, but the Pork Chops are pretty limited this week. Starting their 2nd string D/ST and a backup RB in place of Hall, they'll struggle against a Thundabuddies team that is at full strength. For the Thundabuddies, this should be a good opportunity to bounce back from 2 straight losses and position themselves firmly in the playoff race.
COMMISH'S PICK: Thundabuddies
LINE: Who Is You -10
I picked against Dak last week on the idea that even the best teams lose once in a while. Since I was wrong, I'm doubling-down this week. Dak is without Garret Wilson and Derrick Henry this week and though Wilson hasn't been spectacular, he tends to draw attention away from Keenan Allen. With the distraction, You's secondary can stay focused and have a better chance to corralling Tua & Co.
COMMISH'S PICK: Who Is You
LINE: Los Perros Locos -3
Having lost 2 straight while averaging only 72.5 pts/gm in those contests, I can understand why some are taking the Perros -3. But did anyone bother to notice both of the Perros top WRs are out this week? This won't be an exciting game to watch. In what should be a low-scoring affair, look for the Hunters to put the dogs down.
COMMISH'S PICK: NH Bounty Hunters
LINE: Jergoff Passout -9
Some teams feel the pressure of the bye week more than others. And when you combine that with and injured starting QB, you'll have the Consolation Kings. The Kings are having a good season, but they're facing a Passout team that has won 2 in a row and should seem some quality production from their stars this week.
COMMISH'S PICK: Jergoff Passout
LINE: Digg-A-Watts -9
Neither team has done much this season and they have the records to prove it. Through 6 weeks, Panic is averaging slightly more than Watts, 96.8 pts/gm to 90.0 pts/gm. And when you consider Watts will be without Mixon this week, the choice seems pretty clear. However, I'm not only willing to roll the dice and take Watts, I think they'll cover too.
COMMISH'S PICK: Digg-A-Watts
LINE: Golden Tate Warriors -24
Favored by more than 3 TDs, there's no question who will win this game, right? Wrong. The Warriors will be without several of their weapons and one of their best, CMC, is a little banged up. Plus, something tells me most of their matchups won't produce as expected. With just barely enough from their rag-tag bunch, I see a victory on tap for Bri this week.
COMMISH'S PICK: Badazz Bri
SCL SEGUNDO LEAGUE
LINE: MaxxCasualties -9
The rookie phenom, Stroud, is out this week so Carr will look to Russell Wilson to handle the snaps. On paper, this looks really bad. But, I actually think this might be a better week for Wilson than the last. And, they'll need it. The bodies have been piling up for Casualties this season and they look to add Carr to the list. Sign me up for the team that averages over 121 pts/gm this season and has won 4 straight.
COMMISH'S PICK: MaxxCasualties
LINE: Jalenhouse Rock -3
Without several starting RBs on either side of the ball, you'd assume this contest won't be won on the ground. But that's exactly where it will happen and I give a slight edge to Hoodie because they have the better fill-in RBs. This should be a close game with plenty of action despite missing starters, but Rock is likely to come up just shy of the 110+ points they'll need to win.
COMMISH'S PICK: Belichicks Hoodie
LINE: Ohio State Gunkeyes -13
The Gunkeyes have won 4 of their last 5 while Kaminis will look to avoid a 5 game losing streak. Plus, over the past 3 weeks, the Gunkeyes have outscored Kaminis by an average of almost 40 pts/gm. Oh, and do I need to point out Kaminis hasn't outscored the Gunkeyes in a single week the year? Obvious choice, right?
COMMISH'S PICK: Shiva Kaminis
LINE: TJONES35 -23
TJONES35 is currently on a 5-game winning streak and they're looking to extend it to 6 against a Burrowito team that has struggled. So far this season, TJONES has yet to score less than 112 points in a game so it's clear Burrowito will need to put together a strong offensive performance to win. Against a hobbled TJONES team this week, and assuming Burrowito doesn't leave their RB spot empty, I think they could win with 105+ points.
COMMISH'S PICK: Burrowito Bowl
LINE: Disgruntled Runningbacks -17
One thing we know is that the Runningbacks will probably score somewhere between the 200 they scored in week 5 and the 86 they scored last week. So what will it take to cook the Tots who, despite a 2-4 record, have proven they can put up points? My guess is it will take somewhere in the 125+ range and I can see the Runningbacks hitting that this week.
COMMISH'S PICK: Disgruntled Runningbacks
LINE: Gotham Rogues -2
This has to be it, right? This has to be the week the Parlays finally notch their first win. Though the Rogues have had their share of struggles this season, we know they're not going to roll over. The Parlays will look to their ground game to control the ball and ask Baker Mayfield to do nothing more than just avoid the big mistakes. My gut tells me this could be one of the higher scoring games this week and could actually be fun to follow. But bet on the Parlays to put a bad beat down on the Rogues.
COMMISH'S PICK: Ridley's Parlays
