You can't rush perfection. Some things just take a while to come together.
For Who Is You, the chance to brag and boast has finally come and, for the next 12 months, they'll simply be known as "The Champs".
Having been in the league for 12 seasons, the drought was growing long. They had made the playoffs in 8 of those 12 seasons, including the last 5 seasons in a row, but always came away empty handed. In their team's 10 playoff game history before this season, they were a paltry 3-7 and they had only reached championship game once, suffering a tough loss to Chief Sticky Balls.
But, the wait is over. In a rematch of the 2017 SCL Championship, they would get their revenge and the title that comes with it in a decisive victory over the Balls, 130-76.
Congratulations to Who Is You for earning their spot among the all-time greatest teams on the SCL Championship Plaque. And, congratulations to Chief Sticky Balls for another great season.
In the 3rd place contest, featuring two of the highest scoring teams with the best records this season, Pork Chop Express pulled off the victory in a low-scoring battle, 91-78. Though it wasn't the shootout many may have expected, it was a good game and congratulations go out to the Chops.
Before I get into some of the other details about the league, I want to take a minute to remind you all that we have a Sagebrush Cactus Playoff League over on the NFL.com website. The contest is simple and it's a fun way to incorporate fantasy football into the NFL postseason. If you've never played before you should be ashamed of yourself. But, redemption is possible if you sign up today.

Baby Got Dak may not have made the playoffs, but they won the Golden Ticket contest. Congratulations! Some interesting observations from this year's contest and lineups:
The only players that were on every roster, Michael Thomas and Christian McCaffrey, finished with 51 and 75 points, respectively.
The 2nd highest scoring QB, Russell Wilson, was only featured on 1 roster.
The top scoring RB, Dalvin Cook, was only featured on 2 rosters.
The 2nd highest scoring RB, Derrick Henry, was only featured on 2 rosters.
The top scoring TE, Travis Kelce, was only featured on 1 roster.
The top scoring K was a rookie, Rodrigo Blankenship.
Pork Chop Express' K, Justin Rohrwasser, did not play a game this season.
Not including D/ST, 7 of the 32 (22%) unique players featured on rosters missed at least 7, or more, games because of injury.
Every roster, except for Baby Got Dak, featured at least 3 of those players.
Badazz Bri had the most players, 5, with seven or more games missed.
This contest may have just gotten interesting. Heading into last week, Chief Sticky Balls held a 7 game lead over Baby Got Dak. But, after correctly picking 12 games, Dak has cut the lead to just 3 games. Heading into the final week, it's entirely possible that Dak can overtake Balls and pull off the upset.
Ending the season with another 3-3 week was not the strong finish I was hoping for. But I promised you all that I would pick the Champion correctly and I did.
Thanks again for playing this season! I hope you all enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to the next.
